■Aeronautical Radio Navigation Facility
Aeronautical Radio Navigation Facilities are installed at the airports as well as en-routes to support the safety of aircraft operations which are illustrated in below chart. Aeronautical Radio Navigation Facilities can be divided into three categories.
- (1) Communication
The facility to support the communications between pilots and controllers. - (2) Navigation
The facility to be used by pilots to locate the position of his or her aircraft. - (3) Surveillance
The facility to be used by controllers to locate the aircraft positions.
■History
“Basic Law for the Reform of Central Government Agencies” was enacted in 1998 where the implementation and maintenance of Aeronautical Radio Navigation Facilities should be delegated to private sector.
